Here in the remote and beautiful Twisp River Valley, we hand produce high quality lavender essential oils and hydrosols. In this pristine setting, we are blessed with clean air and water, and are free from agricultural sprays, smog and pollution found elsewhere.
The lavender that we distill is grown here on the farm organically along with our fields of alfalfa, grains, vegetables and flowers. Over the years Ed has cultivated and produced a wide variety of healing essential oils, but today, Lavender remains our primary essential oil crop.
In early July we spend our time breathing in the healing scent of the lavender crop as we cultivate, harvest and gather it to take to the still. When the buds of the flowers have reached peak bloom, we harvest the flowering tops. Once harvested, we fill our stainless steel 55 gallon vats with the plant material. Steam is then pushed into the chamber which forces the plants oil-bearing sacs and cavities to open and release. This oil infused steam then runs out of the vessel into a condenser which is a copper tube surrounded by cold, flowing water. The water and oil are then collected and separated thus producing essential oils and hydrosols available for your health and wellness. In addition to lavender essential oil and hydrosol, we also harvest and sell cut lavender and lavender bunches.
